Editorial Policy
People make retirement decisions partly on what they read here, so this page sets out how our content is produced and what standards it is held to.
Guides
- Researched against current professional guidance (tax firms, law firms, official government sources) rather than hearsay.
- Key figures - tax rates, thresholds, fees - are verified at the time of each update, and every guide displays its last-updated date.
- Guides are information, not financial, tax, legal, or immigration advice. Regulated questions belong with the licensed professionals we work with.
News briefs
- Drawn exclusively from reporting by mainstream, reputable outlets - Reuters, AP, BBC, CBC, The Globe and Mail, Financial Times, Cyprus Mail, In-Cyprus, Kathimerini and similar.
- Each brief ends with a Sources line naming the outlets relied on.
- Briefs are compiled with the help of automated editorial tooling and published on a regular schedule; they summarise others' reporting rather than carrying original claims of our own. When a topic is revisited, the existing page is refreshed and shows both its published and updated dates.
Corrections
If you believe anything we have published is inaccurate, email info@retireincyprus.com with a link to the page. We review correction requests promptly and update or remove content that does not meet the standards above.
Independence
Content is not paid for or placed by third parties. Where our coordination service is relevant we say so plainly and link to it - the free discovery call is the only thing we promote.
This guide is general information, not financial, tax,
legal, or immigration advice. Figures reflect the rules as commonly reported
at the time of the last update and can change; always confirm current
thresholds and your personal position with licensed Cypriot and Canadian
professionals before acting.
